Welagi camp reminds players of humble club rugby days

“It takes us back to when we were playing club rugby”

These were the words of FIJI Water Flying Fijians prop Eroni Mawi when asked how the camp has been in Welagi, Taveuni so far.

The Saracens prop smiled and said it’s something new for Flying Fijians but the players have been really enjoying every moment of their stay in Taveuni.

“It’s more of team bonding and the players have started to know each other,” said Mawi.

As the FIJI Water Flying Fijians kicked off their training today, Mawi added that the players were reminded about the goal set for Rugby World Cup.

“Everyone comes from different backgrounds and we just put our minds together and work hard. It’s just the first day not much to say but I reckon going forward exciting” said Mawi.

It was a busy day at the office for FIJI Water Flying Fijians as they hit the ground running early in the morning.

After two tough field sessions, the players and coaches were happy to achieve their goals set for the day.
