Volavola emotional after school visit

The Vodafone Flying Fijians visited Frank Hilton Early Intervention Center earlier today as part of their outreach program.

And it was an emotional moment for the fly-half Ben Volavola seeing the children with special needs performing for them.

Volavola said it was a great moment for them to visit this school and spend time face to face with these kids.

“It was a special moment seeing the kids perform and also the parents and teachers interact with the kids.

“It was just touching,” he said.

He advised people to treat everyone the same just as one would like to get treated as everyone is equal no matter the abilities one might have or lack.

“I think God created us all alike and we should treat each other like our loved ones.

“Regardless of the abilities that one has, it shouldn’t count towards the way someone treat an individual.”

Vodafone gave away gift packs to all the students while the school teachers, parents and students kept the players entertained throughout the program with items and songs.

Head Teacher Cecilia Yee thanked the team for taking out their time out of a busy schedule and visiting their school.
