Vodafone Deans: QVS and Nasinu will meet in the Final

Under 18 Queen Victoria School beat Ratu Navula College in a thrilling yet close match to secure their place in next week’s Under 18 Deans finals.

In a fierce rugby showdown, QVS clashed with the formidable RNC team. The match was intense, with both sides battling fiercely. However, QVS’s speed and strategy outmaneuvered RNC, leading to a thrilling victory. The final whistle blew, and QVS celebrated a hard-earned win. 

Ratu Navula Captain, Luke Tuvalu shared that although they came out defeated in today’s game, they were thankful to QVS for giving them a good run. He was also thankful to his team for working together even at the very last minute. 

QVS will now face Nasinu Secondary in next week’s Under 18 Deans Finals 

Meanwhile, the first semi-final saw Nasinu Secondary School confirm its place in next week’s Under 18 Deans final after beating Cuvu College 33 points to 20. 

Although a close match, Nasinu Secondary fought till the end to secure their spot in next week’s game. The intense game, with Nasinu already leading at halftime fueled their team with more determination which allowed them to make a more powerful comeback in the second half. With a last-minute try, Nasinu secured a narrow victory, leaving Cuvu stunned and the crowd roaring in celebration.

Nasinu Secondary School Head Coach, Mika Yasiyasi thanked the Cuvu team for giving them a good run as today’s game was a very close one. However, he believes that next week’s game will be an even tougher one hence the reason they will need to work on their weaknesses and set pieces to better prepare themselves.

Nasinu Secondary School now gets ready to face a strong Queen Victoria School team in next week’s Under 18 Secondary School finals.
