Two Heavyweight clashes in Farebrother Challenge this weekend.

It will be a battle of two heavyweight when Suva challengers the Farebrother Trophy holders Nadroga in the third round of the competition at Prince Charles Park in Nadi on Saturday.

Nadroga will be looking to avenge their loss in the 2019 Skipper final while Suva will be aiming to secure the Farebrother trophy as they’ve already claim the Skipper Cup.

Nadroga Coach Esala Nauga said that nothing has changed in the team’s preparation as they continue to follow through their normal schedule.

“As usual the boys has been going through some intense training preparing for the match and we’ve been building momentum to counter a good Suva team this weekend.” Nauga said.

He explained that Suva is a very good side that has beaten them twice this year and also claimed the Farebrother Trophy from them back in 2012 and in 2017.

“This will be a really good game and will be expecting a tough match this Saturday. Our main focus is nothing more than just protecting and securing this prestigious Trophy.”

Nauga said their opponent is very lethal in most areas. Looking at the fact that they have a very strong running forwards and with the support plays from the backs which is a threat on the field.

“I am looking at an intense game and for us and we’ll just need to go out there on game day, execute our strategy and secure the trophy.”

“We all know that Suva we’ll be coming in with the same intension, so all the best to both teams playing this Saturday.” Nauga added.

Suva will challenge the Farebrother Trophy at 3.30pm on Saturday at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

Meanwhile in the Bainimarama Shield, Yasawa will be defending the shield from challengers Lautoka at 5pm on Friday at Lautoka’s Churchill Park.
