Team Work takes Baby Stallions into the Final
Nadroga Under-19 team are looking to retain the Skipper Cup Under-19 title this weekend when they face Namosi in the 2020 Skipper Cup U-19 final.
Nadroga won the 2019 Skipper Cup U-19 title after edging Naitasiri 18 – 15, the baby stallions knows that the final is a different atmosphere with different game caliber.
Nadroga knows it’ll be anyone’s game, and the team that executes well on the field will clinch the victory.
Nadroga U-19 manager Emmanuel Fumanu explained how the baby stallions have been focusing on teamwork and execution throughout their 2020 Skipper Cup campaign, and he said that this two factor has helped them throughout the season and got them through into the final.
“This season has surely been a long one, and we’ve been working together throughout this long season, team bond is something we always focus on,” said Fumanu.
“We’ve gone through some challenging times and we stayed together and worked as a team to overcome these challenges,” Fumanu added.
“It’s a great achievement for us to win this semi-final, the players know that being humble is a must, and to always work together as a team,” he added.
“We’ll work on our game structure focus on it’s execution and look at the areas we should touch up,” said Fumanu.
Fomanu added that they’re anticipating a tough game against Namosi, he explained that Namosi is a quality side with a strong forward pack, he said that they’re working on their defensive to counter the strong Namosi attack.
Nadroga takes on Namosi at 1 pm this Saturday at the ANZ Stadium, Suva.
