Swire Shipping Fiji Warriors WRPC Squad Announced
Fiji Rugby have released the 28 man Swire Shipping Fiji Warriors squad to defend the World Rugby Pacific Challenge (WRPC) commencing next Friday 8th March in Suva.
16 of the 28 players are previously uncapped for the Warriors including 7 members of the Vodafone Fiji Under 20s squad and 8 from the Fiji Airways Drua, a direct reflection of the quality of depth being produced through the Elite Player Pathway Programme.
The WRPC is an under 23 competition with teams allowed to field up to five over 23 players.
Fiji Airways Flying Fijians Mosese Voka, Frank Lomani, Veremalua Vugakoto, Eroni Mawi and Mesulame Dolokoto are all included in the squad, with the WRPC providing invaluable international quality game time for them in this Rugby World Cup year.
The Swire Shipping Warriors will be coached by Fiji Sports Coach of the Year Senirusi Seruvakula, assisted by Kele Leawere and are set to march back into camp on Monday ahead of next Friday’s opening round against Tonga A.
The Warriors then play Junior Japan on Tuesday 12th March before finishing the tournament against Samoa A on Saturday 16th March.
All matches for the WRPC will be played at ANZ Stadium, Suva.
