Swire Shipping Fiji Warriors Jersey Presentation

The Swire Shipping Fiji Warriors were today presented with their official jersey for the World Rugby sanctioned Nations Cup in Uruguay by their major sponsors Swire Shipping Fiji Ltd.

Swire Shipping Manager Chris de Villiers said that they were very proud to be the official sponsors of the Fiji Warriors as this sponsorship will enhance their community development program.

“We are proud to present the official jerseys to the Swire Shipping Fiji Warriors today and are also proud to be associated with the FRU and the Fiji Warriors as this sponsorship will allow us to further develop our community development program as we are trying to do more sports based stuff.”

“We certainly look forward to working closely with the Swire Shipping Fiji Warriors when we go out to more community outreach programs.”

Swire Shipping Fiji Warriors Head Coach, Senirusi Seruvakula, thanked their official sponsors for supporting the team that was made up of locally based players.

“Our team is made up of local based players with a lot of talent and we are fortunate and grateful that Swire Shipping has come on board to support the locally talented players.”

“This is the first time we will play in this World Rugby Sanctioned Nations Cup and our first game will be against the Uruguay Test Team, which is in the same pool as the Flying Fijians for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.  So that will be a big task for our local boys to play against the Uruguay National Team.”

“The second match will be against Argentina and the third against the Italians, so it is a short turnaround, but it will be good exposure for our local players and we look forward to making Fiji and especially our new sponsors very proud.”

The Swire Shipping Fiji Warriors marched into camp today and will depart the country on Tuesday, 29 May for Uruguay.
