Skipper Cup: Suva Ready for 80 Minutes Rumble
The Suva Rugby team has been working on some identified areas that need to be tightened up following their 15-all draw against Nadroga two weeks ago.
In their build-up towards their next encounter with the Stallions for their Skipper Cup semi-final match, Suva coach Solomone Nute shared they are working at playing 80 minutes rugby this weekend.
“We started our preparations right after that draw at Lawaqa Park as we saw the need to strengthen the last 20 minutes of our game,” said Nute.
“We controlled 60 minutes of the last game but the last 20 minutes was our downfall which cost us that Farebrother Challenge,” added Nute.
The capital side has reported no injuries to a strong team decked with a lot of experienced players that will be led by John Stewart and James Brown.
“Our team has a good mix of experienced and High Performance Unit (HPU) players that have come through, so we are anticipating a good game against Nadroga,” said Nute.
The first semi-final of the Skipper Cup between Suva and Nadroga kicks-off at 1pm.
