Seruvakula Names Team to Uruguay
Telecom Fiji Warriors coach Senirusi Seruvakula has named the 28 member Telecom Fiji Warriors team that will play two matches in Uruguay.
Seruvakula has kept majority of the players that represented Fiji at the World Rugby Pacific Challenge in Suva March this year.
The 11 new players that have been selected in the team are Peni Ravai, Australian based Kirwan Sanday, Jolame Bera, Wellington based Api Naikatini, John Dyer, Meli Baivatu, Saimoni Tuilaucala, Sam Speight, Josaia Qumi, Tikilaci Vuibau and Kitione Ratu.
Team Manager Dan Domoni said that they will play two matches against the Uruguay World Cup team and one game against the Argentina national team.
He added that this is a good chance for the local players to prove their worth for the national selectors for the Rugby World Cup.
Military Officer and Northland Hooker Isireli Ledua will captain the side to Uruguay.
The Telecom Fiji Warriors will depart for Uruguay on Monday, May 18 with their first game against Uruguay scheduled for May 23.
