Seruvakula impressed with Fiji Airways Fijian Drua’s performance
Fiji Airways Fijian Drua coach Senirusi Seruvakula was impressed with the performance of the players after a 22-all draw against Brisbane City in the opening National Rugby Championship match last Saturday.
He said “Eleven new players played against Brisbane City and it was a good outing from them.”
Seruvakula added “There were a lot of learning from these game which is a good foundation for the next game against the Western Force. They believe that they should have done better.”
He believe the team would have done well if they had minimised on their mistakes.
“There were a lot of errors in the first game.
“We cannot afford to do this in this competition but I’m very proud of the players and the way they played the first game” he commented.
He added “There was multiple phases they did, the turnovers and the senior players led by example.”
“We need to play as a team rather than playing individually” Seruvakula said.
The team arrives tomorrow and will straight away begin preparations for the second match against the Western Force at ANZ Stadium in Suva.
“It’s going to be a shot turn around.”
“We arrive tomorrow and we march into camp on Wednesday. It’s another important game against the Western Force” he added.
The Fiji Airways Fijian Drua faces Western Force at 3pm {FJT} at ANZ Stadium in Suva on Saturday.
