Seniloli Back in Contention for RWC 2015
Vodafone Flying Fijians Coach John McKee has today confirmed France based Henry Seniloli is back in contention for a spot in the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
In a Press Conference at the Fiji Rugby Union earlier this afternoon, McKee said that Seniloli is in the country and had come to see him.
“Henry Seniloli had earlier suffered an injury to his jaw and we thought that he would be out of extended squad. But we spoke to him and he has shown us that he will be able to play should he be selected”.
Some overseas based players have started arriving into the country and McKee says that he will wait for the others to finish off their club commitments before he calls them into camp.
“For those that are involved in the Super Rugby competition or whose clubs are still progressing in their competitions in Europe, I won’t pull them out half way. I will wait for them to complete their club commitments before I call them into camp.”
As for the match against the NZ Maori, McKee says that it will be a good opportunity to review the players as they head into the Pacific Nations Cup and the RWC.
The Vodafone Flying Fijians will march into camp on July 1 to prepare for the PNC competition. They will play against NZ Maori at the ANZ Stadium on July 11.
