What a weekend in local rugby competitions where 24 games played by 48 teams to the last whistle in the four categories of Fiji rugby championship between provincial teams.

Our women’s rugby competitions are making alot of noise in the Ranadi and Marana as the development of women’s rugby continues to grow.
However, the highlight of the day was the Farebrother battle between Naitasiri and Northland.
Naitasiri managed to hold their fort to the final whistle as they edged the young and bold Northland team 10-6 to the fulltime whistle.
Both sides were locked at 3-all at the halftime break.
In other results in the Skipper Cup competition, Suva defeated Nadroga on Friday at Lawaqa Park 26-19, Nadi defeated Rewa 25-12 at Burebasaga School ground and Tailevu held Namosi at Thomson Park in Navua 15-all.

A much anticipated battle next weekend as the Premier division goes into round 9 and the Tier Two competition goes into round four.
The highlight for next week will be the Farebrother Sullilvan Trophy challenge between the title holders Naitasiri and the challengers Nadi.
