Pool B: Ryan drafts in Fiji 15s stars ahead of Paris Sevens
Fiji head coach Ben Ryan has included a number of 15s players in his 17-man squad for the HSBC Paris Sevens.
Fiji head coach Ben Ryan has named a 17-man squad for the HSBC Paris Sevens bolstered by four names from the world of 15s.
The four players, who all play their rugby in Europe, are Glasgow Warriors second-row Leone Nakarawa, Stade Francais winger Waisea Nayacalevu, Josua Tuisova of Toulon and Montauban’s Samisoni Viriviri. Toulon’s Semi Kunatani, who has featured at the past two rounds of the series, will also travel to Paris.
Besides the 15s stars, Ryan has also included the same 12 players who took Fiji to their third Cup win of the series in Hong Kong, where they beat New Zealand 21-7.
Fiji are currently top of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series standings, eight points ahead of South Africa.
