Police Blues dedicates win to its force
The cup finalists of the second leg of the Fiji Rugby Super 7s Series Police Blue and Police White dedicated their achievements to all Police Officers working tirelessly across the country and abroad.
Captain Keponi Paul for Police Blue and Livai Ikanikoda for Police White said they will continue to acknowledge the hardworking Police Officers who are always supporting them in every tournament they participate in.
Paul captained the champion Police Blue side to victory in the second leg of the Super 7s Series and he thanked the Police family for the support.
“To all the Police Officers working tirelessly at their stations in Fiji, this win is for all of you for your hard work and being true to your calling as Police Officers,” said Paul.
“I would also acknowledge the support from our officers and commissioner for supporting the team in the tournament and not forgetting our families for always supporting us.
Meanwhile, Police White captain and Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team playmaker Livai Ikanikoda reiterated his team mates thoughts of dedicating their second place achievements to all their brothers and sisters in the force working together in keeping Fiji a safe place.
The Police Blue team leads the points table with 44 points and have won back to back tournaments in Sigatoka and Nadi. They are pooled with Ratu Filise, Wardens and the wild card 15th team from the North on Pool A.
The Police White is currently in fourth place with 30 points after losing to their brothers the Police Blue in the Cup final. They are in the same pool as Uluinakau, Eastern Saints and the BLK Stallions in Pool B.
The tournament will be held on the 19th and 20th of March in Vanua Levu.
