NEW RUGBY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER FOR WEST
The Fiji Rugby Union’s Development Unit is pleased to announce the newest addition to its Rugby Development Officers. Tirani Uluinakauvadra has been appointed to head the Western Region in terms of its rugby services delivery.
Uluinakauvadra comes into the FRU with a lot of years of experience in Rugby Administration mainly in the Western Division. He has been involved with the Nadi Kaji rugby and also the Nadi Rugby Union.
“It was a tough decision that had to be made”. Uluinakauvadra said.
“I have been in the teaching profession for 20 years and during that time, I have been an Administrator for rugby for over 10 years. But rugby is my passion and I am looking forward to working with schools as these are age grade and grassroots rugby”.
Uluinakauvadra will be very important in the delivery of FRU’s Get into Rugby Mass Participation Programs into schools and communities that look to rugby as a fun sport. National Development Manager, Sale Sorovaki confirmed that whilst the Ministry of Education has lost a great teacher, it is Fiji Rugby Union that will gain a lot from Uluinakauvadra’s inclusion into the FRU team.
“We look forward to having him on board” Sorovaki said.
