Throughout the 7 rounds of 2019 Skipper Cup, Namosi won 3 matches against Tailevu, Nadi and Northland in round 2, 6 and 7 and lost 4 matches against Nadroga, Suva, Rewa and Naitasiri in round 1, 3,4,5. Namosi captain Mosese Voka and robust looseman Johnny Dyer both made the cut into the 2019 RWC squad, Voka was later named in the RWC final squad to Japan while Dyer secured an overseas contract with London Irish, both these players were outstanding throughout the 2019 Skipper cup campaing. Looseman Sakiusa Nadruka was an x factor for Namosi last year and also is the top try scorer with 5 tries. Former Fiji Under20 and Fijian Warriors winger Epeli Momo is an upcoming player for Namosi who is set to make his mark in this year’s Skipper cup competition. Namosi have been preparing around the clock throughout the preseason and they’ll be coming in this season with the aim of finishing off in the top 4 of Skipper points table and qualify for the final. Namosi takes on Tailevu in the first round of 2020 Skipper Cup at Thompson Park, Navua.
