Nagusa Withdrawn due to Injury

Vodafone Fiji 7s player Nemani Nagusa has been withdrawn from the team to the Wellington and Sydney 7s due to an injury that was detected late last night.

Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan, said that during the team medical checks last night, the injury was detected and the decision was made for Nagusa to be rested.

“It is very unfortunate for the team and for Nagusa but I would prefer for him to recover properly for the next leg. Viliame Mata who is just as fit, will replace Nagusa and will fly out to join the team later this week, Ryan said.

Meanwhile the team flew out this afternoon and will face Japan in their first pool match of the Wellington 7s.
