Male names powerful line-up for semifinal clash

The return of iron-lady Sereima Leweniqila and winger Kolora Lomani will add depth and experience for Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua as they take on their toughest opponent, Waratahs in the Super W semifinal tomorrow.

Leweniqila and Lomani were both part of the Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua which run through unbeaten in their inaugural season last year.

Head Coach Inoke Male said their inclusion in the run on team has boosted the morale of the team.

“Both are senior players and bring in a lot of experience. They featured in the Super W last year and also played a vital role in the World Cup” said Male.

Leweniqila will wear hear favorite number 8 jersey and will guide the scrum while Lomani will be on the wings.

Changes have been made again in the front row as Joma Rubuti starts at loosehead prop, Siteri Rasolea as tighthead and Bitila Tawake at hooker.

Asinate Serevi gets her start in the second row alongside Jade Coates.

Karalaini Naisewa moves to blindside flank while Sulita Waisega at openside.

Setaita Railumu will control the game from the half-back while Jennifer Ravutia will make calls from the fly-half.

Adita Milinia will look after the left and on right wing will be Lomani.

Merewai Cumu and Vani Arei retain their positions in the midfield and are expected to bring in blockbusting performance.

Replacement player Luisa Tisolo completes the line-up at fullback.

On the bench, Keleni Marawa will cover for hooker, with Anasimeci Korovata and Makereta Tunidau bringing the impact for the prop.

Doreen Narokete and Mereoni Nakesa will back up the locks while Evivi Senikarivi is set to bring in the spark as half-back replacement.

Coach Male said “This is our one chance to prove ourselves, we will have to give in our all to this game.”

Male said it was always a challenging game against the Waratahs, but the players have the determination to win.

The girls will take the field at Concord Oval in Sydney on Sunday with a 3.05pm kick-off.
