Samoa Head Coach Steve Jackson has named a new look 38 extended member squad for the World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup.
Manu Samoa has begun their RWC 2019 campaign against Tonga and will face USA and Fiji in two weeks-time.
Jackson has rewarded prop Alofaaga Sao, flanker Tofatuimoana Solia and winger Johnny Vaili for their impressive form in Samoa’s domestic Super 9 competition with a place in the group.
Second-row Senio Toleafoa, number eight Afa Amosa, UJ Seuteni, former New Zealand and Samoa sevens star Belgium Tuatagaloa flanker Henry Stowers have also been included for the first time.
Only five players who appeared at England 2015 – Motu Matu’u, Teofilo Paulo, Jack Lam, Faifili Levave and Rey Lee-lo – have made the cut in the PNC squad.
Samoa has won the PNC title three times in 2010, 2012 and 2014.
