Jone Daunivucu believes Flying Fijians have a special bond to create upsets

FIJI Water Flying Fijians Head Coach Simon Raiwalui invited a few players to assist them with numbers in their full contact session today.

Former Flying Fijians and Fijian 7s 2005 World Cup winner Jone Daunivucu was also part of the group that had a ran with the Flying Fijians.

The evergreen 42-year-old said it’s always a special moment to be part of the Flying Fijians and he was overwhelmed by being invited to assist the team.

Daunivucu said “Thanks for the opportunity and a Vinaka Vakalevu to the management of the FIJI Water Flying Fijians for inviting us to attend the contact session and assist them in preparing for the match against France.”

Also part of the session were France-based former Naitasiri player Jo Nasilisili, his son Inoke Nasilisili and former Flying Fijians and Fiji Warriors lock Sevenaca Tabakanalagi.

Daunivucu has four test matches under his belt while playing for Flying Fijians in 2007 and was also part of the dream team which won the Sevens World Cup.

He said the team is well prepared and ready to put up a tough challenge against the host on Sunday.

“This team is well prepared to face France and they are ready for this encounter. I can see the boys are happy, fit, and excited for the big challenge ahead of us” he said.

There is a huge fan following for the FIJI Water Flying Fijians and Daunivucu has requested all the Fijians living in Nantes to come down in numbers when Fiji takes on France.

“To all the Fijians here in France, this team is special and will do something special. I request all of you to come out in numbers and support the Flying Fijians because they need the support on the game day” said Daunivucu.

FIJI Water Flying Fijians take on France at 7am {FJT} on Sunday.
