Hamilton Sevens wrap up

Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s fell short to reach 7th place in Hamilton after Russia’s Marina Maiyanikova scored the winning try to seal the win for Russia in the 7 place playoff 26-21.

Fijiana began their Hamilton 7s campaign on a high note with a victory over England 26-19, however they lost their second pool game against the invitational china side17-12 as they played with a player short after Roela Radiniyavuni was being sent out on a red card.

on their third pool match they showed some great intensity on their game against New Zealand even thou going down on a 38-21 point game.

Fiji Airways Fijian 7s beat the Blitz Boks 12-5 to claim the ninth place playoff as they were out of the Cup semi contest after they went down to Argentina 26-10 in the pool game and Australia claiming the top spot in pool D after coming out with the most points.

The side beat Samoa on their first match 19-12 before coming out with the same result against Australia 19-12.

New Zealand women’s and Men’s side both clinch the Hamilton 7s title after the women beat Canada 24-7 and the New Zealand Men’s beat France 27-5.
