FRU announces free entry for ANZ Marama Championship

Good news for fans as Fiji Rugby has announced free entry for the ANZ Marama Championship which will be held at Suva Grammar Grounds tomorrow.

Fans will be able to witness eight matches, four each from senior and Under-19 grades.

Acting Chief Executive Sale Sorovaki said they want to promote women’s rugby.

He said the Marama competition had been growing and it was only right to encourage more fans to come and show their support by allowing free entry.

“Now that we have the matches all at one venue, it is easy for rugby fans to come and watch the four games, it saves them money and time to cheer on the teams,” he said.

After two rounds of competition, Yasawa remains unbeaten and are at the top of the ladder with 10 points recording thrashing results against its opponents.

Last season’s champion Suva as well as newly promoted Navosa and Namosi also remain unbeaten so far but are separated with point differences.
