Fijiana XVs name a strong team for the opening match
Fiji Airways Fijiana VXs will be looking forward to making a powerful start in the Womens Rugby World Cup qualifiers at Churchill Park in Lautoka today.
Fijiana XV coach Alifereti Doviverata has named an experienced 23-member squad for their first match against New Zealand Development today.
“We have prepared well for the qualifiers and all we hoping for is to make a perfect start” said Doviverata.
“I have picked the best available players who have played at this competitive level.
“I hope they will execute the game plan well and do the basics right against a tough opponent” he added.
The front row will be guided by loosehead prop Lailanie Burness while number eight Sereima Leweniqila will captain the side.
Players such as half-back Rusila Tamoi, winger Elenoa Adinaimata and centre Pricilla Siata will guide the backline in the game.
