Fijiana team named for sydney 7s

Fijiana 7s Head Coach Saiasi Fuli has named the travelling party to head to Sydney on Monday for the Aussie 7s leg of the HSBC Women’s World Sevens Series.

This will be the first series leg for the Head Coach following stepping into the tenure last month and the former national rep will be looking forward to seeing how the 7 weeks intensive training block has developed their performance.

Just four players from the squad that went to Dubai will travel to Sydney with the most notable omission being Litia Naiqato, making way for Raijeli Daveua and Levenia Tinai to return to the field.

Coach Fuli took the Fijiana Devlopment Team to Coral Cost Sevens last weekend where the team returned victors, winning the Cup Final against Marist SeaHawks and the new leader was pleased to see the hard work from the training track begin to transfer into math play.

The Fiji Airways Fijiana will travel to Sydney from Nadi on Monday and are set to meet Canada to open their campaign at 1.22pm on Friday 1st February, followed by Russia at 3.44pm and Ireland at 6.28pm.
