Fijiana Talent ID
The Fiji Rugby Union organized two days, Tuesday in Suva and Thursday in Nadi to identify players for the Fijiana 7s team. A lot of new players joined some of the Fijiana girls that took part in Rio in a skills session and a few games.
Running the sessions were former flying Fijian players, Alifereti Doviverata, Norman Ligairi, Epeli Ruivadra, Saula Radidi and Waisea Luveniyali.
The youngest player that turned up to the programme in Suva was 16year old Sereana Vasuitaukei. Asinate Savu who missed out in Rio due to injury had a run with the girls too.
The Fijiana are preparing for the Oceania 7s in November and the Women’s Sevens World Series 2016-2017 that kicks off in Dubai on 1st and 2nd December.
