FIJI Water Flying Fijians Coaches conducted a clinic followed by a welcome ceremony in Pornic

FIJI Water Flying Fijians Coaches today conducted a short coaching clinic at the team’s training ground in Pornic today.

While the Flying Fijians were on a day off from training, the coaches were invited to attend a coaching clinic that had around 60 kids from Rugby Club Pornic and Rc Trignqc Rugby Club.

It was a scene of excitement in the kids as their parents also came in to witness the session and following that had an opportunity to meet, take photographs, and autographs from the coaches.

FIJI Water Flying Fijians Head Coach Simon Raiwalui together with assistant coaches Glen Jackson, Senirusi Seruvakula, Graham Dewes, Brad Harris and Seremaia Bai conducted the clinic.

Rugby Club Pornic President Alan Gendrot said “It is a fantastic moment for the kids to have the Fijian coaches here and it’s also a once-a-lifetime experience for them.”

He said, “We also have local coaches part of the clinic today and they might learn a few things and help these kids in the future.”

Coach Simon Raiwalui said “It’s a great opportunity to work with the community. We are very happy to stay in Pornic and we would like to say thank you to everyone and seeing the children was really a pleasure for us.

Meanwhile, the FIJI Water Flying Fijians attended a welcome ceremony hosted by the Mayor of the Pornic. Fans poured in numbers as the team took a stroll from the hotel to the town center. They received a warm welcome from the fans who then got a chance to meet the players.

FIJI Water Flying Fijians captain Waisea Nayacalevu handed over a signed Flying Fijians jersey to the Mayor and thanked everyone for their great support throughout the week.

“On behalf of the FIJI Water Flying Fijians, I would like to thank the Mayor and the people of Pornic for being such a great host. We have a good few days in terms of training and the boys are looking forward to playing against France” said Nayacalevu.
