Fiji Rugby Union Chairman’s New Year Message

As we wind down from 2024 and prepare to embrace 2025, Fiji Rugby Union Chairman John Sanday has shared his heartfelt greetings and reflections with the rugby family in Fiji and across the globe.

“2024 was a year of challenges, and while it wasn’t our very best, we have come through well. Together, we navigated hurdles, celebrated victories, and learned from our experiences.

This journey has laid the groundwork for what promises to be an exciting and transformative year ahead,” Sanday stated.

Looking ahead to 2025, Mr Sanday emphasized the importance of building and strengthening the foundation of Fiji Rugby, describing it as a year for embracing opportunities, improving systems, and inspiring players and supporters alike.

“I would like to take this moment to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the growth and development of Fiji Rugby,” he said.

Players, coaches, managers, and administrators, whose dedication drives the success of the sport.

Parents and single parents, for their unwavering support and sacrifices.
Medical teams, referees, and all who tirelessly work behind the scenes at clubs and unions.

He also expressed special appreciation to the sponsors who continue to believe in the vision of Fiji Rugby.
