Fiji Rugby High Performance awards its players
Fiji Rugby’s High-Performance Unit has acknowledged its HPU players who have been committed to their lockdown program during the past 5 to 6 months.
Seven players were presented with gift hampers which was sponsored by CJ Patel and were presented to them by Fiji Rugby CEO John O’Connor.
HPU player pathway manager Bill Gadolo explained that these players were fully committed to their offseason training programme, and he added that the High-Performance Unit provided a little thank you package to acknowledgement and reward these players for their handwork.
“We wanted to do something to reward and acknowledge our HPU players for their effort and commitments during the past 5 – 6 months of lockdown,” said Gadolo.
Gadolo explained that the Covid-19 pandemic had put the entire rugby fraternity in a situation to adapt to it, he added that this unprecedented time did not deter them from pushing through their players to reach new heights.
“We’re leaving in a new normal time so there’ll be a lot of things that’ll be done differently to the actual norms that players and coaches and coaches alike go through,”
“We’ve been really grateful for the feedback we’ve got from our HPU players during lockdown, these programs that we distributed to the players, they’ve been really consistent in updating us with their trainings and following our programs every single day for the last 5 – 6 months,” added Gadolo.
Gadolo also thanked sponsor CJ Patel for their continues support in providing HPU with gift hampers and other gears to award the players with.
“We’re very grateful to CJ Patel for the support in regards to the gift hampers and other gears they provided us to award our players with,” said Gadolo.
HPU will also travel down to the west to award HPU players from the west who’ll also be acknowledge for their commitment throughout the lockdown.
