Fiji 7s Gears Up for Perth: Coral Coast 7s to Determine Final Squad

As the Coral Coast 7s draws near, most teams are gearing up for the much anticipated tournament, but the Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team has their sights firmly set on the upcoming HSBC Perth 7s.

Head Coach Osea Kolinisau is using the Coral Coast 7s as a crucial platform to finalize his squad for the Perth tournament.

“We are looking at the boys’ fitness going into Perth. We want to build on where we’re at right now and get better at our defense, especially in the dying moments of our games,” said Kolinisau.

The Coral Coast 7s will be more than just a local event for the national players. Kolinisau has instructed his team to approach the games with the same intensity as they would during the World Rugby Sevens Series.

“We want them to play in Coral Coast with the intensity of the series. No one has cemented a place, and all the spots are up for grabs during Perth,” he added.

The Fiji Airways Fijian 7s side is pooled with NZ Sevens 2, Tuva Rugby and Brothers at the McDonald Fiji Coral Coast 7s.
