Eyes on the big picture for Warriors.
Senirusi Seruvakula has urged his Swire Shipping Fiji Warriors to stay ruthless and keep moving forward ahead of this Saturday’s final match of the World Rugby Pacific Challenge against Samoa A at ANZ Stadium.
The Fijian Head Coach has named two new caps for the series finale with Joseva Nasaroa and Tevita Ikanivere included in the 23 man squad and is determined to close out his fifth Warriors campaign with a victory.
“We’re taking the strongest team possible into this match, we’re not here to make up the numbers just because we’ve secured the series” he said.
Adding that the tournament has a bigger agenda than just the Under 23 title.
“This is a foundation for the Latui (Showcase series) and also the Drua (NRC).”
Ikanivere has been given the nod in the starting hooker position with the young rake replacing Fiji Airways Flying Fijian Mesulame Dolokoto who’s had another solid series in the number 2 jersey.
Ratu Meli Nabura returns at number 4 alongside the experienced Mosese Voka who will be flanked by the promising young back row of Loaloa and Uluinakauvadra.
The halves combination of Lomani and Muntz will continue to prosper and breakout centre Veresa Tuqovu and Samusamuvodre combine again with Tira Wilagi and Veramu Dikidikilati following their 5 try collective effort on Tuesday.
The Swire Shipping Fiji Warriors take on Samoa A at 4.00pm following the opener match between Tonga A and Junior Japan at 1.30pm.
Tickets are $10 Grandstand, $5 embankment and children under 12 free available at the ANZ Stadium entrance.
