Drua end round 3 with a draw

The Fiji Airways Fijian Drua ended their third round with a draw against the NSW Country Eagles last weekend at WIN Stadium, Wollongong.

The Drua came in with the first pointer of the match when halfback Peni Matawalu dive over the try line in the seventh minute.

Just minutes after, NSW hit back with a try coming from hooker Tom Horton, six minutes later Drua bounce back with a powering run from Epeli Radaniva who dive over the try line extending the lead 14-5.

NSW halfback Jake Gordon sneak from a maul to dive over the try line claiming another five-pointer in the 33 minute.

Minutes before halftime NSW extend their lead after Junior Wallabies winger Mark Nawaqanitawase dived over in the corner, with Kane converting from the sideline.

Into the second half Drua continue to build their momentum and a poor handling from NSW gave an opportunity to winger Nacanieli Narequva to run 90m to score an exciting try before Vularika extend the lead with a successful conversion.

NSW manage to keep the ball alive in the 80th minute as Grant powered his way over the try line to score their fourth try in the 81st minute leveling up the score 24-24.

In the fourth round of NRC this weekend, Fiji Airways Fijian Drua will face Sydney Rays in their second home game at Churchill park, Lautoka.
